AJKTWA, JCCI, HC Bar must remain united: Arun

JAMMU, Oct 26: Arun Gupta, president Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), today said that All J&K Transport Welfare Association, J&K High Court Bar Association and JCCI must remain united for their common cause and the welfare of the region.
He was addressing members of his own Chamber and AJKTWA led by newly announced Chairman, Karan Singh Wazir at Chamber House. Gupta stressed the need for unity among all the three important organizations for inviting attention of the Government and getting their issues addressed. He said for the past sometime this element was missing as some of the people had become agents of the administration, causing damage to the common interests of these bodies.
Gupta said that unity among all the three would definitely give a strong message to the government for resolution of the common issues. He said previously when ever there was an issue for safeguarding the interests of the people of Jammu, we fought jointly. Re referred to the issues of Darbar Move in 1989, Amarnath Yatra row in 2008, AIIMS and Central University issues, and said all three joined hands.
Wazir said that AJKTWA will fight jointly for the cause of Jammu region, Chamber and Bar Association and always render full support. At the same time he sought support of JCCI for the cause of transporters and the operators. He claimed that his father Late T S Wazir always stood with the Chamber and Bar for the cause of Jammu and he will also restore the same practice for common cause.
“We shall restore the same practice and leave no stone unturned to resolve the issues raised by Chamber of Commerce & Industry, pertaining to Trade, Transport, Tourism, Industry, issues of J&K High Court Bar Association and especially issues pertaining to development of Jammu.
Prominent among those present in the meeting include, Anil Gupta, Rajeev Gupta, Manish Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Rakesh Gupta from Chamber, Naresh Gupta, Kamal Randhawa, Manmohan Singh, Gian Singh, Jugal Gandotra, Subash Gupta, Jagdish Langer, and office bearers of AJKTWA- Vijay Singh Chib, Bharat Bhushan,  Balbir Singh, Deepak Sharma, Mohinder Singh,   Ranjit Singh, K D Singh,  Naranjan Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Labh  Singh, Shanti Saroop and others.
