KARGIL, Oct 26: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon inspected functioning of Urban PHC Kargil, here today.
The CEC Kargil visited various sections of the UPHC and inspected the availability of infrastructure, medical equipment, adequate availability of manpower, facilities for patients and other related issues.
He directed Xen R&B to repair the flooring, roofing, washrooms, and proper functioning of heating systems for the upcoming winter at the earliest.
Dr Akhoon announced Rs 10 lakhs for the repairing and renovation works on immediate basis from united fund and directed CMO Kargil to frame a committee under his chairmanship and prepare a DPR for the renovation of the whole PHC.
He also directed CMO Kargil to frame another committee to dispose off the unserviceable materials and also to place an auction for the materials which are in non-usable category.
The CEC directed the Executive Officer Municipal Committee to identify a suitable place for the construction of a lavatory around the surrounding of the urban PHC.
Later, Dr Akhoon also visited the Drug De-addiction Center and inspected the availability of drugs.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Councilor Town, Haji Abass, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Incharge Medical Superintendent, Block Medical Officer, District Tuberculosis Officer and various other officers.
