KATHUA, Oct 26: MLA Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan here today dedicated two roads to the public of Kathua.
The first dedicated road by the MLA was one km macadamized road from Jarai Chowk to Kharkra village and it will benefit the people of Jarai, Bhagthali, Rappar and adjoining villages.
On the demand of local Panchayat representatives, Dr. Bharat Bhushan had directed the Executive Engineer PWD to macadamize half km stretch of road of Rappar village which was in dilapidated condition.
The road from Jarai to Kharkra has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 60 lakh.
Repair and renovation of this road was a long pending demand of the public.
Later, the MLA laid foundation stone for lanes and drains in Ward number 4 of Govindsar-A Panchayat which connects main road with Shree Guru Ravi Dass temple.
A handout stated that PWD will complete this work at an estimated cost of Rs. 18 lakh.
Dilawar Singh, Executive Engineer PWD R&B Kathua, concerned JEs and a large number of locals were also present on the occasion.
