JAMMU, Oct 26: Police in Khour area of Jammu district claimed today they have foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing several animals crammed inside a vehicle in a cruel manner.
A police official said that A Tata mobile vehicle (JK12C2061) was intercepted for checking at Jogwan village of Khour area.
On search of the vehicle, several animals kept inside it a cruel manner were recovered, he said, adding that a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Khour and further investigation taken up.
