Tipper driver receives electric shocks, critical

RAJOURI, Apr 30: A tipper driver was critically injured after he was trapped in the live electric wires and thrown away on the ground this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that tipper driver was carrying pebbles (Bajra) from a local river to Salora village in Manjakote. On the way, a tyre of  his vehicle got punctured. While cleaner started opening screws of the rear wheel, the driver mounted on the tool box to drop down the spare tyre.  There were live electric wires atop and the driver got trapped into the wires and thrown away with the severe shocks from the top of the vehicle on the ground.
In serious condition, he was rushed to district hospital Rajouri, where doctors provided preliminary treatment and referred him to Govt Medical College hospital, Jammu. He has been identified as  Nassir Hussain (23), son of  Abdul Rashid, resident of Salora.
