Make Festivals Pollution Free

Sir,
The much harmful fire crackers’ season has set in. We, the sensible and responsible citizens, not only of a village, city, state or Nation but of “Global Family” should voluntarily pledge to make this charming and blessed season totally fire crackers free, noise free, smoke free, pollution free and furthermore incident free, gamble free, alcohol and drugs free. The environmental degradation has emerged as a big challenge to the human race in the recent years. Let us accept the challenge and contribute whole heartedly towards its mitigation, first of all at least by avoiding fire crackers which create huge Pollution. It is the pressing need of the hour. We should renounce the unhealthy practice which in no way is integral part of any festival, religion, ritual or ceremony. On the contrary, such practice is harmful not only to one or two individuals or families but society as a whole, including cattle/pets. The fire crackers sometime bring misfortune, distress and serious diseases for many.
To combat the environmental Pollution the students, both boys and girls, of the educational institutions, Govt. as well as Private, are very often seen organizing rallies, debates, symposiums, plantation drives, walk and run and variety of other events, without caring for scorching Sun, biting cold and above all their studies loss. They spread awareness and sensitize the society of the ill effects and disadvantages of the fire crackers which add salt to the injury. The problem of Pollution is a grave threat to all the living creatures on this Planet “Mother Earth”. The angelic students’ noble message and hard endeavors must be respected by heart and followed by all. So that the auspicious festivals and all other social ceremonies may shower upon us Joy and blessing instead of tears, screams and agony. Let us earnestly say in one voice “No” to fire crackers for all the times and the occasions.
