Police interacts with Talwara migrants

REASI, Apr 30: On the instruction of District SP Vivek Gupta, an interaction meeting was conducted at migrant camp Talwara to look into the grievances, if any, of the displaced people.
The camp consists of more than 800 militancy affected families, who were forced to migrate from their homes and hearths in Reasi and Rajouri districts.
The meeting was chaired by Dy SP Headquarters Reasi, Mushtaq Choudhary and attended by a large no of people, including local Panchs, Sarpanchs and migrant leaders.
On the occasion, people raised various issues related with administration including bifurcation of migrant families, water scarcity, roads etc and requested police officers to take up these issues with administration.
Police officers assured the participants that their issues would be brought into the notice of concerned quarters. The officers also sought public cooperation for a crime free atmosphere in the area.
Prominent locals and migrant leaders, who participated in the meeting, included Sarpanch Pawan Sharma, Mohd Rafiq, Dev Raj, Chamail Singh, Kuldeep Sing , Jagdev Singh , Chattar Singh and Swarn Singh.
