JAMMU, Oct 27: PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti, Jammu in coordination with Shree Gita Mandir Samriti Bhawan Committee, organised a Kavi Sammelan on the eve of conclusion of Samriti Saptah today at Samriti Bhawan, Bakshi Nagar here.
A large number of PoJK displaced persons participated in the Sammelan. Remembrance and Shradhanjali was offered to PoJK martyrs by poets and poetesses from Young Lekhak Sangh.
MLA, Jammu West Arvind Gupta who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that being himself from PoJK displaced community, he will raise voice for the community in the Legislative Assembly and appreciated the efforts of Samiti in organising such a `Kavi Sammelan’.
Dr Deepak Kapoor, president of PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti and Chairman Gita Mandir Samriti Bhawan Committee mentioned about the atrocities faced by PoJK displaced community. Sanam Damir president Gita Mandir Samriti Bhawan Committee, Er Arun Chowdhary, RK Chhibber, Veenu Khanna, Preeti Chowdhary, Yashpal Kapoor, Suresh Tandon , Rajesh Tandon, Naresh Vohra, Anju Tandon, Samir Vohra, Mamta Verma, Rama Amla, Kanchan Sehgal, Renu Thapar were among the prominent persons who attended the Sammelan.
