SAMBA, Oct 28: Member of Legislative Assembly, Vijaypur, Chander Parkash Ganga today kick started widening work of five kilometer long Badhori link road at the cost of Rs 18 lac.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganga maintained that the works of roads, left pending in last tenure, have been started and these works will be completed in a stipulated time period in order to provide best quality of roads to the public.
The MLA said that he is committed to provide road connectivity to every nook and corner of the constituency, besides providing basic amenities to the people of the Vijaypur constituency at their doorsteps. He said that the Union Government headed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has provided liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities.
Reiterating his commitment to provide better civic amenities to all, he said that massive development activities is going to be started across the constituency to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes, drains and hygienic surroundings in every nook and corner of constituency.
The MLA said that he will continue his endeavours to meet the aspirations of the people of the Vijaypur constituency who once again reiterated faith on him with a record margin.
He said that people of Vijaypur provided him a chance to serve them for five years and he will try his best top come up to their expectations.
Listing the developmental works completed in his previous term in the constituency, the MLA said that the localities which lacked all the basic facilities could today boast of concrete roads, lanes and proper drainage, besides adequate supply of safe drinking water and power supply.
Maintaining that emancipation of the suppressed sections is his prime objective, he said, “I will compete whatever work has been left in last tenure and it was for the first time that the social welfare schemes, earlier found only on the files were implemented on the ground’’. He said thousands of BPL families and destitute have been getting subsidized and free ration.
