DODA, May 1: A team of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Department today charged Rs 4200 fine from traders for violation of various acts of CAPD and IEC.
The team comprising Designated Officer DFCO, CA&PD, Food Safety Officer District Doda also seized 6 domestic LPG cylinders during a market checking drive in Doda town launched on the directions of the District Development Commissioner Doda Mubarak Singh.
The team checked the quality, rate and quantity of eatables being sold to the consumers in the market. The team lifted two samples of food articles for food analysis under Food Safety and Standard Act, while a fine of Rs. 4200 was charged from the shopkeepers for violations.
