UDHAMPUR, Oct 29: The District Development Council Chairman Udhampur, Lal Chand visited Associated Hospital here today to inquire about the condition of persons injured in matador accident at Salmerhi.
The accident, resulting from overcrowding and negligent driving, endangered numerous lives, including those of children, men and women. Thankfully, there were no fatalities; however, several individuals sustained serious injuries.
Chairperson Lal Chand was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh and Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal. He directed hospital management to ensure that the injured receive the highest standard of medical care, while assuring his full support to the victims and their families. “The well-being of affected individuals is our top priority. We will extend all necessary assistance to guarantee quality medical attention”, he added.
The DDC Chairman instructed the Assistant Regional Transport Officer to conduct a comprehensive inspection of all operating matadors to enhance public safety.
