Karra asks distt heads to strengthen party, serve people

SRINAGAR, Oct 30: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed today chaired the District Congress Committee presidents’ meeting and other senior leaders at Srinagar Party headquarters in which discussions were held over the wide range of issues including the organizational affairs and activities in the districts.
MLA Bandipora, Nizam-Ud-Din Bhat was also present in the meeting.
JKPCC chief during meeting received feedback with respect to current socio-political situation obtaining in the districts. He was also briefed about various issues confronting the public, especially developmental issues, electricity, unemployment and various other pressing issues confronting the public.
JKPCC president emphasized the DCC presidents to start preparations for upcoming Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat elections with the full involvement of every basic member of the Party and also share responsibilities with regard to party activities at block level with all concerned leaders and workers in their respective districts to avoid any communication gap, Karra told the DCC heads.
DCC presidents assured JKPCC chief that they will put in their strenuous efforts to strengthen the Party, besides dealing with other challenges especially upcoming Local Bodies and Panchayat elections with full vigor and vitality. They also assured to work vigorously to ensure redressal of public grievances.
Those who attended the meeting included District presidents Irfan Naqib, Mir Iqbal, Javed Ahmad Mir, Zaffar Farooq Salati, Abdul Rashid Lone, Umer Jaan, Reyaz Manhas, Muzaffar Dar, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantray, Sheikh Aijaz, and various other leaders.
