UDHAMPUR, Nov 2: Attestation-cum-passing out parade was today held at the Subsidiary Training Centre of BSF in Udhampur district.
Puneet Rastogi, Additional Director General (Logistics/HR), BSF HQ, New Delhi, was the chief guest of the passing out ceremony. He inspected the parade and took the salute of the march past.

In the passing out parade, 620 recruit constables, who belong to the states of Andhra Pradesh 84, Odisha 133 and West Bengal 403, after completing their 44 weeks of rigorous basic training, took the oath of service to the country and left for their work area.
Addressing the Seema Praharis, the Chief Guest congratulated them for their wonderful parade performance and wished them a bright future.
He said, “These brave sentinels will bring glory to the Border Security Force and their parents by protecting the borders of the country with full zeal, confidence and honesty. Today, after being fully trained, 620 Seema Praharis are joining the India’s first line of Defence which is matter of pride.”
He congratulated Rajesh Kumar Gurung, Inspector General, Subsidiary Training Centre and his team of officers and instructors for making these Seema Praharis hardworking, courageous and disciplined by giving them the best basic training and praising their work.
Recruit Constable Sourajit Biswas in Drill, recruit Constable Sabya Sachi Barman in shooting and recruit Constable Shamir Oram got first place in physical ability respectively.
Recruit Constable Saurav Baidya and Recruit Constable Manish Singh stood overall first and second positions respectively.
The Chief Guest honoured these Recruit Constables by giving them trophies for their excellent performance.
Rajesh Kumar Gurung, IG welcomed the Chief Guest and all other distinguished guests.
During the convocation ceremony, Mohd Rayees, DIG Udhampur/ Reasi Range, Amod Ashok Nagpure, SSP, District Udhampur and other Senior Administrative Officer of District Udhampur were also present.
After the convocation parade, the newly passed out Praharis performed Bolt Action Drill, Sambalpuri dance, Khukri dance and staged a patriotic play.
The audience present thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful presentations of the cultural program and encouraged them with loud noises.
The BSF band squad enthralled the audience with its mesmerizing tunes.
