1 killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, May 2: One person died and six persons were injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
Police said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05D/1520 collided with a Scooty bearing registration number JK05C/2282 at Singhpora, Pattan in Baramulla. Both the riders Mohammad Ashraf Lone and Ghulam Mohammad Gojri residents of Baramulla got injured in this accident. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where Ghulam Mohammad Gojri succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard.
Police said a Tata 407 bearing registration number JK09/0989 hit and injured a 12 year old boy Shahid Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad Khan resident of Shogpora Magam in district Kupwara. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Handwara for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard.
Police said in another accident, a Sumo bearing registration number JK03/8882 turned turtle near Jawbara, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Awantipora resulting in injuries to three persons Rukhsana resident of Kader Anantnag, Mohammad Yousuf Dar resident of Banihal and Mohammad Rafiq Khan resident of Pahalgam. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, among them Mohammad Rafiq Khan was shifted to SKIMS for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard.
Police said an Ertiga car bearing registration number JK02AW-9912 skidded off the road at Check Manigam, Qazigund in district Kulgam resulting in injury to the driver Kesar Ahmad Pathan son of Kabeer resident of Nai Basti Anantnag. He was shifted to hospital for treatment.
