AMEAK expresses concern over package employees security

JAMMU, Nov 4: Expressing serious concern over the security of package employees in the Valley after sudden spurt in terror attacks, All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) has urged upon the UT Government that they should take every possible step to ensure safety of package employees working in different departments across Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, today AMEAK president, Rubon Saproo suggested that the present situation demands that an option of digital mode must be utilised by the Government to provide sense of security to package employees who after every incident of terror are feeling insecure and disturbed. “Adopting such means of technology can make employees safe,” he said and maintained that it will also keep employees connect to their departments besides make them to perform their duties on regular basis.
“ Package employees so far have faced hardships and challenges besides have lost two of their colleagues in terror incidents,” he said and remind the Government that a major section of employees are living on rented accommodations who feel vulnerable every time because of many reasons and suspicion.
There is a need to bring a major reform in the policy of package aimed to provide a relief to employees, he said and added that it is responsibility of the Government to create a mechanism that can directly resolve issues of employees in a time bound manner.
In addition, the organisation said that the need of the hour is to initiate a dialogue with sections of employee organizations which can help the administration in finding the basic issues confronted with employees.
