SRINAGAR, Nov 4: A Headmaster at a Government Primary School in the Koli area of Bandipora district allegedly assaulted a student with a stick today, injuring his left eye in the classroom.
The Headmaster, who has a history of similar behavior, faces charges under sections 115(2) and 351(2) of the law. An FIR (No. 63/2024) has been registered against him at the Pathkoot Police Station in Bandipora. The victim has been identified as Mujeeb Ahmad Lone, a student in class 4th
Police initiated action after the boy’s parents filed a formal complaint. They also informed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Bandipora about the incident.
