Copper rebounds on increased demand

NEW DELHI, May 3:  Copper showed some strength and prices rose by Rs 3 per kg at the local non-ferrous base metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries amid a firming trend overseas.
Traders said reports of a firming trend in base metals in the global markets led to rise in copper prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap moved up by Rs 3 to Rs 437 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 117-123, nickel plate (4×4) 1,072-1,073 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 437, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 126, lead imported 124, aluminium ingots 148,Aluminium sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148. (PTI)
