JAUNPUR, May 3:
Marriage celebrations turned tragic, when the bride fainted on the stage and was declared brought dead in the hospital when the customs were underway. This bizarre incident took place in Jafrabad area, where the wedding of 21-year-old Menu, resident of Mehrupur village, was fixed with Ashish Kumar Dubey of Pratapgarh district, police said.
No sooner the couple exchanged garlands on the stage last night, the bride fanited.
She was rushed to the district hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
A pall of gloom descended over the village as soon as the news about Menu’s death spread to everyone.
