JAMMU, Nov 6: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKHMS) has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Home Minister, Amit Shah and Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, at New Delhi today, under the leadership of its president, Ramesh Chander Mahajan and apprised them of Kashmiri migrants’ concerns and demanded resolution of their problems.
The memorandum said that displaced people have high hopes and faith in the Union Government so their issues must be resolved.
The memorandum demanded enhancement of monthly cash relief of Rs 7000/- per soul with free medical aid/ Medi-claim to relief holders without any delay, granting Jobless Kashmiri migrants and non-migrants a 40% permanent fixed reservation quota in employment, with announcement of 35,000 new package positions in various Central Government departments and UT departments.
It also demanded immediate roll out an additional 15000 posts in UT J&K under New Special Recruitment Drive Rules 2024 of PM package with fair transferable job policy, to provide Jobs to every single household of Kashmiri migrant and non- migrant unemployed youth.
Besides, among other things it demanded sanction of a special sponsored scheme of soft bank-subsidized loans from 25% to 35% with the lowest 4% interest rate along with mission youth initiative programme, without imposition of any collateral or mortgaged restriction to over- aged unemployed internally displaced people and granting 50% of seats reserved and allocated in professional colleges, offer concessions to wards of internally displaced students in all national scholarship schemes and programmes.
Further the resolution demanded grant of minority status to micro population of Kashmiri Hindus, PM’s new 15-point programs, equitable benefits Kashmiri migrants who are now residing in the migrant camps in Jammu, Delhi and Udhampur should be granted the right to vote.
PM package employees recruited must be treated at par with general employees and must be merged into State cadre, as was the policy made by the Central Government in 2009 and 2015 itself.
Providing of Government accommodations to the left-out PM package employees living in private rented rooms dispersed over Kashmir and implementation of SRO 425 of October 2017 to eliminate discrimination in PM package recruitment process
