UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Continuing their indefinite protest dharna, the Safai Karamcharis of Municipal Committee Udhampur today threatened to further intensify their struggle if the Government does not concede their demands.
Protesting under the banner of Urban Local Body Safai Karamchari Union Udhampur and observing dharna in front of the office of Municipal Committee Udhampur, they are demanding regularization in relaxation to the new recruitment rules for the class IV jobs, including Safai Karamcharis and Drivers.
They are also demanding regularization of all eligible sanitation workers who have completed their temporary services for more than 07 years, cancellation of the MPS (Pension) and adopting the old pension scheme, immediate solving the cases that fall under SRO 43 , creating new posts for Safai Karamcharis in the Municipal Council/ Committees and cancelling the works of contractors,
District President Udhampur, David warned the administration that strike will continue till their demands are not fulfilled.
