UDHAMPUR, May 3: A Village Defence Committee (VDC) member was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the forest area near his residence, falling under the jurisdiction of Latti police station in this district.
As per reports, a VDC member namely Darshan Kumar (36), son of Shanker Dass, a resident of Latti was found dead in the forest area near his residence under mysterious circumstances today.
On getting information, police team from Latti police station rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital, where after conducting postmortem. The body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at police station Latti and investigations started.
