Impersonation in exams detected

JAMMU, May 3: Police and officials of J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) today detected impersonation in the 10th class (private) examination in the bordering Pargwal area of tehsil Akhnoor.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, the examination staff appointed by BOSE noticed some suspicious presence of a candidate in the Mathematics paper in the ongoing 10th class examination in the Examination centre at Government Higher Secondary School Pargwal.
When the invigilators matched the photo of the candidate, he was found to be a proxy candidate. On enquiry, two more such proxy candidates were found appearing for their friends.
However, all the impersonators managed to escape from the examination hall.
On getting a written complaint, police has registered a case under FIR number 26/14 under Sections 419, 420, 109 RPC and 3/5 Unfair Means Act in police station Khour and manhunt has been launched to nab the impersonators.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that they were impersonating for candidates namely Arun Singh, Sunil Singh and Sanjeev Kumar.
However, no arrests have been made when reports compiled.
