JAMMU, Nov 7: The passing of resolution on restoration of Special status to J&K and manhandling of BJP members in Assembly today has been widely condemned.

Minority Morcha leaders raised slogans like ‘Jis Kashmir ko khoon se Seencha vo Kashmir Humara Hai’ and NC-Congress Government hai-hai.
Ranjodh Singh Nalwa asked all the Morcha leaders to be united and be aware of the malicious campaigns and the moves by the NC Government which is aimed to vitiate the atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir.
Nalwa asked the Morcha leaders to strongly resist the move of the NC Government to return Jammu & Kashmir into a State of turmoil by asking for the 370 to return.
Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat strongly condemned the dictatorial and high-handed attitude exhibited by the Speaker and National Conference (NC) members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) during today’s morning session. He expressed deep concern over the forceful expulsion of Jammu-based MLAs from the House- a move that he believes undermines democratic values and silences the voice of the people of Jammu.
Purnima Sharma, spokesperson of BJP J&K and former Deputy Mayor, has strongly condemned the reprehensible manhandling of elected representatives in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Expressing grave concern over the growing lawlessness and disrespect for democratic norms, she demanded immediate and stringent action against the culprits responsible for this violent and undemocratic act.
Ajatshatru Singh, senior BJP leader and former Minister also strongly condemned the NC for introducing a resolution in the Legislative Assembly aiming to initiate a dialogue to restore Article 370.
In a statement issued here, Ajatshatru Singh reaffirmed the BJP’s strong stance that Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, is permanently abrogated and that the idea of restoring it is untenable. “Everyone has a right to voice their views, but Article 370 and 35A are parts of the past; there is no question of them returning,” he emphasized.
The All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (R) has strongly condemned the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s for passing a resolution for the restoration of Article 370, which was abrogated in 2019. In a statement issued today, the ASKPC chief Margdarshak M L Malla described the move as a deep conspiracy to lead the region back to the path of devastation and destruction.
He said that the abrogation of Article 370 had provided a glimmer of hope for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits, who have been living in exile for over 35 years, for a possible return to their homeland in the future. However, the passing of this resolution by the Jammu and Kashmir Government has completely shattered that hope, the statement said.
In a decisive stand against what it termed an “unpatriotic move,” the BJP Kashmir Displaced District today held a protest against the NC for passing a controversial resolution for restoration of Article 370. BJP leaders condemned the NC’s attempt to reverse the historic decision, which was intended to bring integration and progress to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
BJP district president, Chand Ji Bhat, KDD leaders including Seh-Prabhari, Hira Lal Bhat, Moti Lal Bhat, Chetan Wanchoo, Roop Krishan, Yuva Morcha president, Rohit Ganjoo, and other KDD members participated in the protest. Earlier they held a press conference and condemned the NC for passage of resolution.
Rishi Kilam, youth leader NCP said it was “unfortunate” that the ruling NC has “compromised the integrity” of the Assembly, and made a “joke” of democracy by bringing a resolution that questions a decision of the country’s Parliament.
“This is a fraud, a drama, that has been attempted with the people of J&K,” Kilam told reporters here after the Assembly was adjourned for the day following an uproar over the special status resolution.
