Addressing a mammoth election rally at Dhule in Maharashtra, the Prime Minister devoted nearly 10 minutes of his speech to happenings in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly including passing of resolution demanding restoration of special status and implementation of Baba Saheb (Bhim Rao Ambedkar) Constitution in J&K by his Government which was not done for last 75 years.
“I ask countrymen to be awake, alert. Congress and INDI Alliance after forming Government in Jammu and Kashmir have again started their conspiracies. You saw what happened in J&K Assembly during last 2-3 days. Congress alliance Government has passed a resolution seeking restoration of Article 370.
“Whether the country will accept this? Are you satisfied with this? Is this act of Congress breaking Kashmir acceptable to you”? Modi asked.
Pointing out that a banner for restoration of Article 370 was raised in the Legislative Assembly, the Prime Minister said the BJP MLAs wholeheartedly opposed this but they were thrown out of the House. Truth of the Congress and its allies is before the entire country, he asserted.
“The resolution passed by Congress and its allies is aimed at scrapping Baba Saheb’s Constitution which was implemented by Modi in Jammu and Kashmir. We implemented the Constitution of India in J&K but the Congress wants to change it. Congress has been flaunting fake and blank copy of the Constitution in Maharashtra but in J&K they want to deprive Dalits, under-privileged and Adivasis of their rights,” Modi said.
He called upon the Congress not to encourage Pakistan agenda and not to speak language of separatists in Kashmir. He declared that designs of the Congress won’t succeed in Jammu and Kashmir till Modi has blessings of the people of the country.
“Congress will be unable to succeed in its conspiracies. Only and only Baba Saheb’s Constitution will run in Jammu and Kashmir. No power in the world can bring back Article 370,” the Prime Minister said.
Charging the Congress with keeping Kashmir away from the mainstream by not implement ting the country’s Constitution for 75 years, he wanted to know what the reason was for this though top Congress leaders including the family ruled India for several years. There were two Constitutions in J&K and Narendra Modi implemented Baba Saheb’s Constitutions and gave Dalits and under-privileged classes their rights.
The Prime Minister charged the Congress with giving protection to terrorism and separatism. “We ended the problems created by the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir”.
PTI adds: Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of playing a dangerous game of dividing castes and communities. If ST (Scheduled Tribes), SC (Scheduled Castes) and OBCs (Other Backward Classes) stay united, the Congress politics will be over, he said.
“The Congress wants to pit one caste against another and weaken the unity of SC, ST and OBCs. Since Nehru’s time Congress and his family opposed reservation and now their fourth generation ‘yuvraj’ (prince) is working for caste divisions. You must realise that ‘ek hai toh safe hai’ (we will be safe if we are united),” he said.
Earlier, Modi alleged, the Congress played politics over religion which led to India’s partition and now the party is indulging in the politics of caste. There can be no bigger conspiracy against the country than this, he said at the rally in the north Maharashtra district.
Modi quipped that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP), as a vehicle that has neither wheels nor brakes and there is a fight to sit in the driver’s seat.
Recalling his affinity with Dhule and Maharashtra, Modi said whenever he has asked something from the people of the State, they have been gracious.
“I sought your blessings in 2014 to end the 15 years of misrule of the previous Government. You graciously ensured that BJP got unprecedented success. Today, I am starting my campaign in Maharashtra from Dhule. Each and every candidate of Mahayuti seeks your blessings,” he said.
“I assure you that the pace at which Maharashtra’s development has gained in the last two-and-a-half years will not be allowed to stop,” said the PM.
In the coming five years, Modi said, Maharashtra’s progress and development will be taken to new heights. “Only Mahayuti can provide good governance. The Maha Vikas Aghadi is a vehicle that has no wheels, no brakes and there is a fight to sit in the driver’s seat. One can hear different kinds of horns,” he said.
