2 women succumb to burn injuries

JAMMU, July 5: Two women succumbed to their burn injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
As per reports, Rimpi Devi, wife of Surinder Singh, resident of Gajansoo, received burn injuries at home yesterday.
She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to burn injuries.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after autopsy.
In another incident, Aqdama, wife of Nasib Ali, resident of Assam, at present Rajouri, received serious burn injuries when stove burst at her residence on June 29. Family members shifted her to GMC Hospital, where she breathed her last today.
The body was handed over to legal heirs after completion of legal formalities.
Meanwhile, Jyoti Devi, daughter of Ramesh Lal of Bishnah and Krishan Lal, son of Mansa Ram, resident of Akhnoor, received burn injuries at their respective residences.
The duo were shifted to GMC Hospital, where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports poured in.
Cases under relevant sections stands registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
