SRINAGAR, Nov 9: Calling for a collective effort to prevent road traffic accidents, SSP Traffic City Muzaffar Shah today urged parents not to allow minors, the access to two-wheelers or four-wheelers.
Speaking to the media during a safety awareness campaign SSP distributed helmets to riders who were found violating traffic rules.
“It is a collective responsibility. We are holding such programs regularly. At the same time, vehicles driven by minors are promptly seized, and their parents are called,” he said.
“Parents must ensure that minors are not given access to two-wheelers or four-wheelers at all,” he added.
SSP also urged the public to wear helmets for their own safety, saying, “I urge all two-wheeler riders to wear helmet to ensure their safety.”
