ANANTNAG, Nov 9: A District-Level police conference was held today at the District Police Headquarters in Anantnag, aimed at enhancing law enforcement strategies and addressing contemporary policing challenges.
A statement said that the event was chaired by SSP Anantnag, Dr G V Sundeep Chakravarthy, and brought together senior police officers from across the district.
Modeled on the DGP/IGP-level conferences, the meeting focused on a range of pressing issues, including combating cybercrime, countering radicalization, addressing the narcotics trade, improving police training, and understanding the implications of recent legal developments.
The discussion also centered on enhancing security measures and the integration of advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), to boost operational efficiency and tackle emerging criminal activities.
Officers emphasized the importance of innovative, solution-driven approaches to tackle these evolving challenges.
A key take away from the conference was the commitment to adopting a collaborative, multi-faceted approach to strengthen policing in the region, with a shared goal of ensuring the safety and security of Anantnag’s residents.
The conference was attended by prominent officers, including SP Headquarters Anantnag Sajad Ahmad, SP Operations Anantnag Furqan Qadir, Additional SP Anantnag Ghulam Hassan, DySP Headquarters Anantnag, as well as all SDPOs, SHOs and In-charges of police posts in the district.
