MVD organizes free health, eye checkup camp for drivers

JAMMU, Nov 11: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in collaboration with the Medical Department organized a free health and eye check-up camp for drivers, here today.
The camp was aimed at promoting road safety and the well-being of drivers and was held under the guidance of Transport Commissioner Bhawani Rakwal and supervised by RTO Jammu Pankaj Bhagotra.
Addressing the gathering, representatives from the MVD emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups for drivers, who play a critical role in ensuring passenger safety.
They highlighted the need for drivers to maintain their health, considering the demanding nature of their work.
The organizers expressed gratitude to the drivers for their participation and acknowledged that drivers often overlook their health due to busy schedules.
The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) briefed participants on key safety parameters and the significance of road safety for protecting human lives.
The event was attended by officials from the Medical Department, Joint Transport Commissioner, Chief Medical Officer Jammu and representatives from various transport associations.
