JAMMU, Nov 11: The Union of Civic Safai Karamcharis (SKCs) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of their president, Rinku Gill.
The protesters expressed resentment over the alleged outsourcing of sanitation and cleanliness works in one of the three Municipal zones of Jammu city to some private company.
While addressing the protesters, Rinku Gill said that outsourcing will badly affect the jobs of SKCs.
He informed that if the outsourcing was allowed then the company involved will engage its own people in cleanliness and sanitation works of the city and the garbage collection vehicles will also be supplied by the company.
“This will badly hit the interests of our employees and those providing the services of garbage collection and we will never let it happen,” Gill maintained.
The protesters raised slogans in favour of their demand.
