UDHAMPUR, Nov 13: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today conducted an extensive tour of Pakhlai area in Block Sewna to review the progress of the developmental projects.
During the visit, she also held a public interaction session at the CFC Pakhlai, where she listened to numerous issues and demands raised by local residents.
The event saw participation from DDC Councillor Subash Chander, former PRI members and a large number of local people from adjoining Panchayats. They projected various demands and developmental requirements in the presence of District officers from multiple departments.
The locals raised several key issues seeking renovation of irrigation canal, release of pending payments under MGNREGA, road connectivity to uncovered areas, Upgradation and maintenance of Pakhlai and surrounding roads, Construction of a bridge, Timely completion of Jal Jeevan Mission projects, construction of boundary wall at Government Higher Secondary School Pakhlai, construction of a tractor road in Ward No. 5, Construction of a pathway to the local cremation Ghat, Augmentation of drinking water supply etc.
Addressing the gathering, the DC assured the public of swift action, issuing immediate directions to concerned officers for redressing the issues. The DC instructed officers to conduct thorough assessment of all grievances to ensure prompt and efficient resolution. Several issues were resolved on the spot through specific directives given to the relevant departments.
