JAMMU, May 5: There is a lot of resentment among the Kashmiri Pandits against the encroachment of land belonging to Hindu shrine at Newa Pulwama by a surrendered militant who had received arms training from Pakistan and returned recently along with his Pakistani wife and four children to the area.
The migrants while expressing their concern over the encroachment of the land belonging to Hindu temple in the village said that the authorities failed to restore the land belonging to Hindu shrine despite repeated pleas.
The community members said that even the father of the surrendered militant and his uncle have earlier encroached the land of the Kashmiri Pandits in the village and despite the repeated requests, the authorities took no action against them.
Meanwhile KPC president Kundan Kashmiri has made an appeal to the Government to look into the issue and restore the religious land of minority Pandits in the village to the community.
Kashmiri said that his organization had taken up the issue with DC Pulwama and other authorities but till date they did not take any action against the surrendered militant.
