JAMMU, Nov 18: The Union of Civic Safai Karamcharis (SKCs) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here today expressed resentment and staged a protest demonstration against the alleged outsourcing of sanitation and cleanliness works in one of the three Municipal zones of Jammu city to some private company.
The protest was led by the Union president, Rinku Gill.
One of the protesters said that outsourcing will affect the jobs of SKCs.
He further informed that if the outsourcing was allowed then the company involved will engage its own people for the cleanliness and sanitation of the city and the garbage collection vehicles will also be supplied by the company.
“This will badly hit the interests of our employees and those giving the services of garbage collection and we will never let it happen,” one more protester stated.
The protesters raised slogans against the outsourcing of cleanliness and sanitation.
