JAMMU, Nov 18: Play ‘The Bacchae’ of Samooh Theatre, written by ancient Greek playwright Euripides and adapted and directed by Ravinder Sharma, has been selected for 24th Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2025.
Organized by National School of Drama (NSD), Bharat Rang Mahotsav is India’s largest and most esteemed theatre festival, celebrating excellence in theatrical arts.
Play ‘The Bacchae’ weaves together classical themes with contemporary relevance bringing an innovative perspective to one of the most profound tragedies in Western literature.
Under the expert direction of Ravinder Sharma, the play has garnered acclaim for its powerful performances, compelling narrative and evocative staging.
