BEIJING, Nov 19: China is ready to work with Russia to boost cooperation between the countries and give a new impulse to their interactions, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday during a meeting with the top Russian diplomat, Sergey Lavrov.
“China is willing to further strengthen cooperation and pairing with Russia, promote a new impulse to the comprehensive strategic interaction between Russia and China, and make required contributions to the development and revitalization of both countries and the reform of global governance,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry quoted Wang as saying.
He also said that in 2024, the cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in various sectors overcame risks and challenges, achieving new results.
“China and Russia should work with BRICS partners to realize the outcomes of the BRICS summit in Kazan, make the BRICS mechanism bigger and stronger, strengthen the influence of the Global South, and play a greater role in a multipolar world,” the minister added. (UNI)
