Will also meet LG, top officers

JAMMU, Nov 20: Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar will be undertaking maiden two-day visit to the Union Territory of Ladakh, beginning tomorrow to review works on transmission line and various power projects.
Khattar, the former Chief Minister of Haryana, will also have one-to-one meeting with Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brig (Retd) BD Mishra.

After meeting the Lieutenant Governor tomorrow morning soon after his arrival at Leh, the Power Minister will inspect 220 KV transmission line from Phyang to Diskit (Nubra) at Phyang followed by Phyang to Nimoo-Bazgo power project at Alchi.
He will visit Sangam (river Indus and Zanskar), Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and then hold high-level meeting with the senior officers including Dr Pawan Kotwal, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Secretary Power Development Department and other concerned officers.
At the meeting, the Union Minister will review working of Housing and Urban Development and Power Development Departments including ongoing projects/works and new ones which are required to be undertaken with the Central assistance.
On November 22, Khattar will visit Shanti Stupa and Sindhu Ghat before flying back to New Delhi.
This will be the Union Minister’s first visit to the Union Territory of Ladakh after assuming charge in Narendra Modi Government in June this year.
Few days back, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Khattar in New Delhi during the conference of Power Ministers.
