SAMBA, Nov 21: Two drug peddlers have been arrested with 8 grams of heroin-like-substance in Vijaypur and Samba areas.
A police official said that a party of Police Station Vijaypur led by SHO concerned intercepted a motorcycle on National Highway near Zamindara Dhaba.
During checking, he said, 4.50 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from the possession of the motorcycle driver identified as Vishal Kumar of Bhour Camp, Satwari, district Jammu.
Accordingly, the accused has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 145/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Vijaypur and further investigation started.
Another party of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli led by the Incharge Police Post under the supervision of SHO Samba intercepted a pedestrian at naka Rakh Amb Talli.
On search of his belongings, the police official said that 3.50 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Hasan Din of Nanke Chak, Supwal, district Samba.
He too has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 302/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation started.
