KISHTWAR, Nov 22: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, District Police Kishtwar has booked a notorious drug peddler under PITNDPS and lodged him in Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
SSP Kishtwar, Javaid Iqbal Mir, while giving details, stated that the drug smuggler, Mudassar Ahmed, son of Aziz Mohammad, resident of Pakalan Darbhadan Thakrie, at present, Wasserkund Kishtwar, was identified as a key figure supplying drugs to the youth in Kishtwar Town.
His involvement in multiple drug peddling cases was uncovered during extensive investigations, necessitating his detention under PITNDPS to disrupt his activities and to protect the youth of Kishtwar from falling prey to drug addiction. SSP Kishtwar emphasized that J&K Police in Kishtwar is proactively implementing a comprehensive strategy to tackle drug abuse.
