UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: Pawan Kumar Gupta, MLA of Udhampur West, kick started the work on blacktopping of the road from Town Hall to MH Chowk in Udhampur, covering an area of 4.4 square kilometers at a cost of Rs 38 lakhs.
This road was in a deplorable condition, filled with potholes and uneven surfaces, making it hazardous for two-wheelers and pedestrians, especially after the execution of the Devika Sewerage System.
The Public Works Department (PWD) of Udhampur executed this project, with officers like Rohit, AEE, overseeing the work. The MLA directed the concerned staff and contractors to upkeep the quality of work and ensure all specifications are laid.
The MLA also directed to ensures that the patches left behind shall also be blacktopped in a regular manner shortly in near future.
