KATHUA, Nov 24: Dr Bharat Bhushan, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kathua, reiterated his commitment to the holistic development of the region while addressing a delegation of Brahmin Sabha Kathua today. The delegation, led by its president, Dr Dushant Ubbot, also included vice president Indeshwar Sharma, general secretary Satpaul Mansotra, cashier Rajinder Sharma, and chief organizer Surinder Sharma.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised Dr Bhushan of the various welfare initiatives undertaken by Brahmin Sabha Kathua. Highlighting their efforts, the members shared that the Sabha honours meritorious students and distinguished personalities of the community annually, fostering a culture of recognition and encouragement. The delegation assured the MLA of their unwavering support in efforts aimed at the welfare and development of Kathua.
Dr Bhushan commended the Sabha’s initiatives, emphasizing the importance of community-driven efforts in building a progressive society. He assured the delegation that the concerns and suggestions put forth by them would be given due consideration in the planning and execution of development projects in the town.
Later in the day, Dr Bhushan visited Goond village near Nagri Parole, where he engaged with members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and local residents. During the interaction, he discussed ongoing development works and listened to the issues faced by the locals. He reiterated his vision for inclusive growth, stressing the importance of addressing grassroots-level challenges to ensure equitable progress across Kathua.
Dr Bhushan assured the people of Kathua of his commitment to transformative development, promising to work towards infrastructural, educational, and social advancements that benefit every section of the community.
