Floral tribute paid to Prof Ogra on his first death anniversary

JAMMU, Nov 26: The floral tribute were paid to Prof Avtar Krishan Ogra former Director of Centre for Electronics Designs and Technology and a spiritual Guru on his first death anniversary here, today by prominent members Kashmiri Pandit community.
The speakers recalled Prof Ogra’s contribution as founder member of various socio religious organisations in the erstwhile State of J&K. The function was presided over by Ashwani Chrungoo senior K P leader. He said besides a scientist Prof Ogra was a philanthropist, a spiritual Guru who was an authority on Shastras also. He said Prof Ogra was a man down to earth and a true Karamyogi who was devoted to betterment of humanity till his last breath. He believed in real sense the theory of non dualism and treated everybody alike. He was the founder member of Shri Rama Krishana Mahasamelan Ashram (SRMA) Nagdandi, Kailash Vidya Dham and other religious Sansthas in Kashmir.
Paying tribute to this great spiritual Guru, Virender Raina president Panun Kashmir (PK) said Prof Ogra was an outstanding person who had sound technical knowledge yet was spiritually rooted and socially aware.
He built institutions like a professional, inspired younger generations towards their realms of spirituality and was an active social reformer.
Ashok Kachroo a disciple of Prof Ogra who also joined the meeting virtually said Prof Ogra was a renowned physicist and expert in nanotechnology who intertwined science with spirituality. His dedication to scientific pursuits was paralleled by his unwavering faith and service to mankind. He left an enduring spiritual legacy and his efforts in establishing temples across India and his association with various dharmic organisations including those in South India highlight his relentless commitment to preserving and promoting spiritual values.
Others who paid tribute to this great spiritual Guru included Pt Omkar Nath Shastri, Sampadak Vijeshwar Panchang, B L Bhat, president SRMA, Nagdandi Hira Lal Bhat, socio-political activist, Ashok Kangan etc. They laid wreaths on his portrait also.
