SAMBA, Nov 26: In order to curb the criminal activities in district Samba, J&K police has detained and lodged in jail notorious criminal under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).
The accused identified as Murad Ali alias Maradu, son of Teg Ali resident of Sarore Gujjar Basti Mean Sarkar tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba has involved in multiple criminal cases registered against him at different Police Stations of district Samba and district Kathua. His criminal activities have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity, police said.
Police said following his repeated engagement in criminal activities, detention order was issued by the District Magistrate, Samba based on detailed dossiers prepared by SSP Samba. Police team of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana executed the warrant, leading to the incarceration of the accused in district Jail Kathua.
