JAMMU, Nov 27: The Cyber Cell DPO Jammu, a specialized unit dedicated to tackling cybercrimes and frauds, has successfully recovered Rs 3.01 lakh from fraudsters in three separate cases of online scams. The unit continues its relentless efforts to ensure the safety and security of the public.
In one of the cases, a complainant was deceived while investing in online trading, while the other two victims lost money through fraudulent investment schemes promoted on a Telegram page. Upon realizing they had been scammed, the victims approached the Cyber Cell Jammu, which promptly initiated investigations.
Demonstrating remarkable professionalism and expertise, the team quickly identified the fraudulent activities and recovered the stolen amounts. The swift action underscores the unit’s commitment to tackling cybercrime and safeguarding the interests of citizens.
The Cyber Cell has urged the public to remain vigilant while engaging in online transactions and to report any suspicious activities immediately.
