Daily bus service to Haridwar from Sunday

JAMMU, May 9: Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) is starting daily bus service from Jammu to Haridwar for the facility of devotees from May 11, this year.
Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu will flag off the bus service from General Bus Stand. The air conditioned Volvo bus, with sleeping facility as well, will leave Jammu Bus Stand daily late evening at 7.30 p.m. and reach Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust premises, Haridwar the next morning. Similarly, the AC sleeping bus will be leaving Haridwar from Jammu Yatri Bhawan premises in the late evenings, to reach Jammu next morning.
The new AC bus service being launched is in addition to SRTC bus service already running daily between Jammu and Haridwar. The service is being launched on the persistent demand of growing number of devotees visiting the holy town. This will facilitate those who go to Haridwar for performing late rites of their deceased at the banks of Ganga.
M/s Jamana Tour and Travel Jammu on the request of JYBT has extended this facility for providing bus service from Jammu to Haridwar and vice versa. In addition to it, the JYBT is organising free medical camps for patients suffering from cancer in Jammu.
The patients are provided free medical check-up and consultation by renowned oncologist Dr Ashok Vaid, chairman Institute of Oncology Medanta-The Medicity Gurgaon for last four years.
