UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: Pawan Kumar Gupta, MLA of Udhampur West, conducted meetings with the officers of Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED) / Municipal Council Udhampur and Medical College Udhampur as well the officers of PWD (R&B) Department, here today.
At PWD Dak Bunglow Udhampur, the MLA discussed burning issues of the works hanging in fire and defects in execution of the major Devika Sewerage treatment project. He gave one month time to the officers of UEED Department to remove the defects either through the concerned contractor or by the department itself.
The MLA, accompanied by the officers of the UEED and Municipal Council Udhampur, also has visited the Devika Project and pointed out the defects taken place in execution of works. Executive Engineer UEED, AEE Civil and AEE Mechanical as well as concerned JEs were present on the spot.
It was also decided that the detailed project report of the left out area of Devika project be formulated so that appropriate steps for the clearance of the project and execution of the works can be appropriately taken in hand.
The MLA thereafter visited the Associated Medical College Udhampur where he addressed both the authorities of Medical College led by its Principal Dr Mrityunjay, and Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjay Kumar Sharma as well as the Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Ashok Khokher, Executive Engineer PWD Sarwar Mehmood, AEE Rohit.
MLA took stock of bottlenecks coming in the way of Medical College and issued instructions to PWD officers to take immediate steps for clearance of drainage system and formulation of Detailed Project Report for widening of the area of the entrance, provisions for parking and other developmental works by engagement of proper consultancy and process the project report for further steps required for the purpose before the higher authorities.
