AIMCCC demands permanent rehabilitation of migrants

JAMMU, Nov 28: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has demanded permanent rehabilitation of migrants in their homeland Kashmir in accordance to geo political aspirations of the community.
It while holding various corner meetings also demanded age relaxation in Central Government jobs for Kashmiri Pandit youth who are the victims of terrorism on the pattern of 1984 and 2002 riot victims.
The AIMCCC which held corner meetings at various non camp localities said Government must given age relaxation in Civil Services also on pattern of JKAS. It demanded justice to those shopkeepers whose shops were demolished by Government at Muthi camp Phase Second.
They assessed the problems being faced by migrants residing in camp areas and non camp areas. The AIMCCC said these people are facing shortage of water supply, power curtailment and other problems. “We demand complete justice to all needy and deserved people residing anywhere in UT and country. AIMCCC president, Desh Ratten said that Government must take steps in solving the problems of displaced Pandits and also take steps for their permanent rehabilitation in their homeland in accordance to their geo-political aspirations. He said instead of solving problems the Government is adding to their problems and recent demolition of shops at Muthi is a glaring example. AIMCCC leaders said that all problems of KP migrants have not been solved so far and shops at Jagti township were constructed over a decade back and huge amount was spent on them, but have never been allotted to un employed and deserving youth. They have now damaged which is a serious matter. Those who addressed the corner meetings included Ramesh Tikoo area coordinator for AIMCCC ,Kulwant Singh district president, Srinagar for AIMCCC Anil Kumar Mehta youth secretary and Veer Ji senior leader.
