JAMMU, Nov 29: Demanding implementation of AICTE Pay scales and service conditions, a deputation of J&K Polytechnic colleges’ faculty called on DyCM Surinder Choudhary here today.
The delegation led by Zia ul Haq Kohli and Dheeraj Kumar submitted a memorandum regarding Implementation of AICTE Pay Scales, Assured Career Progression and Time Bound Promotions.
They apprised DyCM that we the Polytechnic faculties are aggrieved of our long pending demand since 2015, for which the department have almost completed all the basic formalities including detail Comprehensive proposal regarding promotion aspects along with its financial implications regarding implementation of AICTE Pay Scales.
The delegation apprised Choudhary that All Union Territories including Ladakh and most of the other states in the country including Haryana, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Pondicherry, Maharashtra, Goa, Chandigarh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have already implemented the AICTE pay scales and regulations for Diploma level Institution i.e. Polytechnics along with the Degree Institutions from time to time.
In this context a meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Advisor (B), regarding the review of the courses wherein directions have been passed to implement AICTE Norms in Toto.
Keeping in view the above mentioned facts it is requested to prioritize our genuine request to higher Authorities for financial concurrence, so that earlier implementation of AICTE Pay Scale, non-functional monetary grades, Career Assured Progression and Time Bound Promotions should be done in favour of Gazetted staff of polytechnic sector.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that their legitimate demands and grievances would be addressed on priority basis.
He also instructed Commissioner Secretary, Skill Development Department to examine AICTE Pay Scales file and put up the file for immediate implementation of AICTE Regulations 2019.
The members of delegation included Munish Kumar, Jasdeep Kour, Khalid Sheikh, Mehmood Chowdhary, Rishab Gupta, Arshad Ranja, Amit Gupta, Rishab Sharma and Akash Dasgotra.
