JAMMU, Dec 1: Rabindra Kumar Jena Economic Advisor to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India visited community Radio Sharda.
During his visit he engaged with the local community and addressed issues of concern and emphasized the role of community Radio in empowering voices and fostering grassroot communication.
Speaking on the occasion, community activists and scholars A K Naz and Ashok Kumar Koul described Radio Sharda 90.4 FM as an institution known worldwide for its focus on promoting Kashmiri and local culture, language and local developmental issues besides providing a platform for meaningful dialogue.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Hangloo Founder Radio Sharda described as how Radio Sharda broadcasts programmes on Kashmiri traditions, folklore ,and religious practices ensuring they are passed to younger generations who may not have direct exposure to their ancestral roots .
On behalf of community AK Naz, Ashok Koul, Kamal Ganju, Vijay Koul Adarsh Anand, Anita Bhat and Roopali detailed Jena about various programmes broadcast by Radio Sharda.
