2910 candidates appear in awareness test of Vivekananda Kendra

JAMMU, Dec 1: Nearly three thousand boys and girls from Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh today participated in General Awareness Test organized by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, a spiritually oriented service mission, results of which will be declared on January 12, 2025 on the occasion of Youth Day.
Dr. Ashok Kumar, Nagar Sanchalak Kangra Branch of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari today said here that the response to the annual feature of Kendra was tremendous in both states. He said that the test was conducted in Dhruv Institute Exchange Road Kachi Chawni Jammu where students of various schools also participated. In this Centre students were briefed about the Kendra activities and the youth programme.
In Himachal, one centre was in Government Degree College Ladbadol in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh where 929 candidates both boys and girls from different schools of Mandi district participated.
In Kangra district, four centres were set up where hundreds of students participated.
At the culmination of the test the students were briefed about the Vivekananda Kendra activities and life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and they were suggested to adhere to the Swami Ji’s teachings and push themselves closer to the roots of Indian cultural heritage.
Students were told that this examination has changed the lives of different students during the last two decades who shaped their future with the help of these tests.
Those who contributed for selfless service were given certificates of appreciation by the Kendra at different functions held after the test was over.
The 24 meritorious students of both the states will be awarded on the Youth Day.
