JAMMU, Dec 3: Sanjay Kumar Baru, BJP senior leader called on LG Manoj Sinha and submitted a memorandum for development of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine and encouraging tourism in district Reasi.
The memorandum among other issues demanded construction of passenger ropeway (Cable Car Project) by the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, (SSKSB) Reasi the approval of which was given in 2013 to ensure future Income of the Board.
It demanded comprehensive regularization policy for all employees of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, (SSKSB), as some of them are at the verge of retirement.
Creation/Development of New Tourist Circle Shiv Khori or extension of jurisdiction of Katra Development Authority (KDA) to the whole religious pilgrim destinations Including Shri Shiv Khori Shrine, Dera Baba Shrine, Sihar Baba, Kalika Mandir, Baba Dhansar, Nau Devian and other such destination for providing better facilities and encourage more flow of tourists throughout the district and create employment opportunities especially for various villages of district Reasi and Rajouri adjoining Shri Shiv Khori Shrine.
To workout scope/ possibility of merger of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, Reasi (SSKSB) with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra for the best management and overall development of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine and to attract more pilgrimage.
