UDHAMPUR, Dec 3: Police team from Police Station Chenani, led by SHO Jaswinder Singh, intercepted a Truck) bearing registration number PB22K-8258 at Motorshed Naka Point.
During checking, 20 kgs of poppy straw like substance was recovered from the vehicle, following which Police arrested driver of the Truck, namely Gurmej Singh, son of Baba Singh and his associate Palwinder Singh, son of Darshan Singh, both residents of Amritsar.
In this connection, a case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Chenani and further investigation was set into the motion.
